This memorial website was created to remember our dearest Diana Fuentes who was born in United States on October 16, 1972 and passed away on April 21, 2008. You will live forever in our memories and hearts.

Diana Teresa Fuentes was born October 03,1972 to Pedro and Dolores Fuentes from Los Angeles, California. Diana was my baby sister. We were 6yrs apart. Diana lived in El Paso Texas with my Mom and my two older sons Chris and Fernie. Diana was on her last semester at the University of Texas El Paso. She was majored in Microbiology and a Minor In Chemistry. Di, as I called her was like a daughter to me rather than a sister. I was there for her as she was there for me. Diana helped raise my two older boys while she was going to school. My sister and I, we were so close that the pain of losing her is so great that I don't know how I have survive this nightmare.

Our nightmare for my Mom, my two sons and myself began April, 21, 2008. Our lives changed forever at 7:05 El Paso Time - 6:05 Los Angeles Time. I was at work when my son Chris called me at 6:08 saying the worst words anyone could say to someone "MOM GET HERE FAST DIANA IS DEAD" These words still haunted me everyday. I told him Chris this is not very nice of you calling me at work and making this awful joke. He said, " MOM SHE IS DEAD." From that moment on I did everything I had to do in a robot manner. I called my husband,  called Southwest made the reservations to catch the first plane out to El Paso. My co-workers wanted to drive me home I said no because if my husband sees me out of control, he's not going to let me go until I  calm down and I needed to  be there for my mom and my kids. I got home, gather the first things I could found, all the time I was on the phone with someone back home.  My husband drove us to the airport. That day my flight was cancelled along with 3 more flights to EL Paso. I was going crazy. My sons keep calling me what time are you getting here. Back home everything was secure as a crime scene, since there were no indications of suicide, It was either murder or natural death.  There were no foul play at the scene. I had called my mom at 5:45 my time 6:45 her time I said Is everything ok, like I did every morning. My mother said everything is ok I'm going to wake up Diana and Chris since they both have test. My son Chris also goes to UTEP. I hang up and 15 minutes the worst call came in. The night before Diana went out with her boyfriend to a casino outside of El Paso. She came home about 10:00 pm and went to her room to study since she had a lab test the following morning. At 7:00am when my Mom went to wake her up she found her on the floor, still dress with her clothes from the day before. My mom yelled at the boys and headed to the kitchen to make breakfast. She told the boys look at Diana she is sleeping on the floor, my son Fernie thought that's very unusual of Diana to be sleeping on the floor and with her clothes on. She always slept with her jammies and on the bed. When Fernie came in he knew Diana was hurt. He started CPR while he was yelling at Chris and My Mom call 911 somthing is wrong with Diana. Diana was in a coma, yet the paramedics pronounce here dead at the scene. Diana actual died three hours later.  Diana had just finalized her divorce to a fire fighter from El Paso, Texas on April 04,2008 and she died April 21,2008. Now the fire fighters that were dispatched were from the same station as her ex-husband. Diana left us so quick, no good-byes, no nothing, many unanwser questions. The worst night of our lives was the night of April, 21. My mom, myself and my three boys, we seclude ourselves in a hotel that night and it was hell for us. Diana enter Heaven and we enter hell. My oldest son had a nervous breakdown, my Mom cried all night and my other son Fernie and I, we filled the swimming pool with our tears. God carried me through those moments and he cover us with his mantel because if it wasn't for Him I don't think I would of made it.

My mom, myself, and two boys, we decided to bring her back to her real home in Los Angeles, Ca. She didn't like it in El Paso and we bury her in Glendale, Ca with my Dad and all my grandparents. My Sister is home.

I would like to thank all the people that stood beside us in our darkest moments of our lives.
